A Production Planner role is currently open within the Resource Planning division at Wealmoor. This position involves the creation and management of precise production schedules for a food supply chain operation. It presents a pathway for professional growth within the fresh produce sector, particularly focusing on specialty and tropical fruits, vegetables, herbs, and various ingredients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and uphold a dynamic 6-week production schedule that aligns with daily sales forecasts.
  • Disseminate a weekly 7-day production schedule, including risk assessments and proposed solutions.
  • Effectively communicate plans, encourage teamwork, and promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Address challenges related to product availability, quality assurance, and production capacity.
  • Oversee and modify production schedules to maximize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials and optimize inventory distribution.
  • Leverage ERP systems for production communication and work order directives.
  • Establish and sustain a capacity planning framework, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives in planning methodologies and outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree in Planning or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing.
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing principles, 'Just in Time' strategies, and Theory of Constraints.
  • Proficient in IT systems, data management, and agile decision-making processes.
  • Excellent communication skills developed from a challenging industry environment.
