Job Title: Technical Service Chemist - Fuel Additives

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Chemist to join our Fuel Additives Technical Service Team on a permanent basis. As a Technical Service Chemist, you will be responsible for providing technical support related to the application of refinery fuel additives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing technical service projects and providing data to support the business in a timely fashion under direction and priority.
  • Responsible for maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
  • Undertaking testing according to standard industry methods, to support fuel additive application.
  • Communicate and report technical information to the technical and sales team, as well as external customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Potential to undertake customer visits to support and conduct trials as required.
  • Conducting tests and collating technical response as required in support of customer tenders.
  • Maintaining laboratory areas safe and tidy according to local standards and carry out and risk assessments as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
  • Proven industrial experience of laboratory testing and providing technical service
  • Strong communication skills
