Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Chemist to join our client's Fuel Additives Technical Service Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, executing technical service projects, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support related to the application of refinery fuel additives, including testing and data analysis.
  • Execute technical service projects and provide data to support the business in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Undertake testing according to standard industry methods to support fuel additive application.
  • Communicate and report technical information to the technical and sales team, as well as external customers.
  • Potential to undertake customer visits to support and conduct trials as required.
  • Conduct tests and collate technical responses as required in support of customer tenders.
  • Maintain laboratory areas safe and tidy according to local standards and carry out risk assessments as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry (or similar) with a strong understanding of analytical techniques.
  • Proven industrial experience of laboratory testing and providing technical service.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical information.
