POSITION TITLE: CONFIGURATION CENTRE ADMINISTRATOR

DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN

REPORTING TO: CONFIGURATION SUPERVISOR

WORKING HOURS: Rotating shifts between 08:00-16:30, 09:00-17:30, and 09:30-18:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a crucial liaison between various departments and the configuration team.
  • Ensure all communications directed to the Config Inbox are addressed appropriately.
  • Facilitate clear and timely information flow.
  • Review configuration orders to guarantee accurate cost application.
  • Maintain and update essential spreadsheets to support departmental development.
  • Oversee the logging of defective items.
  • Communicate order-related inquiries with Account Managers and Engineers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the configuration department.
  • Propose innovative ideas to enhance departmental operations.
  • Monitor stock levels of client-owned consumables and notify when replacements are necessary.
  • Follow up on inquiries and gather required information to fulfill orders.
  • Schedule incoming orders promptly upon receipt.
  • Coordinate with Transport and other warehouse departments to ensure proper receipt and shipment of orders.
  • Adhere to established processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
  • Exhibit strong command of the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Maintain high standards of internal and external service levels.
  • Monitor and report on order statuses and issues effectively.
  • Exhibit business management skills with a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Respond to and manage email and phone communications efficiently.
  • Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum education level of GCSE in Mathematics and English.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience in stock management, returns, and related systems is desirable.
  • Previous administrative experience in a technical production setting is highly valued.
  • Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
