About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care and assistance to patients and their relatives, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Perform phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist clinicians with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Conduct observations, urinalysis, and BM recording, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Prepare for clinics and maintain high standards of documentation and record keeping.
Requirements
  • Good general education and literacy and numeracy skills, or willingness to work towards obtaining.
  • Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining an apprenticeship in clinical healthcare.
  • Holds National Care Certificate.
  • Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker (desirable).
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate interest in healthcare services.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control processes.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding processes.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of caring for patients.
