About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care and assistance to patients and their relatives, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Perform phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist clinicians with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Conduct observations, urinalysis, and BM recording, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Prepare for clinics and maintain high standards of documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Good general education and literacy and numeracy skills or willingness to work towards obtaining.
  • Working towards or prepared to work towards obtaining an apprenticeship in clinical healthcare.
  • Holds National Care Certificate.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and caring for patients.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control processes and Safeguarding processes.
