Willing Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgical Team Member to join our dynamic healthcare team.
About the Role
We have a vacancy for a Scrub Nurse Assistant to work in our operating theatre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment, assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, and providing high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating theatre for surgeries by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, retractor, and other necessary items
- Monitor patients throughout the surgical process, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and positive surgical outcomes
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff members
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a Registered (RN/RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification, valid and clear registration with the NMC or HCPC, and proven experience in a Scrub role (Minimum 6 months). The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
