Save the Children is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Ukraine. As a key member of our programme management team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of child protection and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) programmes in emergency contexts.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of child protection and MHPSS programmes in emergency contexts, ensuring compliance with Save the Children's policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to programme staff on child protection and MHPSS programming, including capacity building and training.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government ministries, UN agencies, and other humanitarian partners.
- Conduct needs assessments and programme evaluations to inform programme design and implementation.
- Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of programme activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Represent Save the Children in relevant coordination meetings and forums, ensuring effective advocacy and representation of the organization's interests.
- Master's degree in social work, human rights, law, international relations, development studies, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and/or development programming in emergency contexts, preferably in Ukraine.
- Proven experience in child protection and MHPSS programming, including programme management and technical guidance.
- Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills, with the ability to organize a demanding workload.
- Experience of representation and public speaking, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong self-starter who takes initiative and proactively identifies challenges and solutions.
- Excellent team support and supervision skills, with proven coaching and capacity building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with excellent English and Ukrainian language proficiency.
- Highly computer literate, with experience of financial systems and data analysis.
