About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our team of professionals. As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their performance skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality drama lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Foster a love for drama and the performing arts, encouraging students to express themselves creatively and develop their critical thinking skills.
  • Plan and organize school performances, productions, and extracurricular drama activities that promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience and help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama into the wider curriculum and school events, promoting a holistic approach to education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Drama preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching Drama in a school setting or to children, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the performing arts, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
