Chemical Trader

Chevron is seeking a skilled LNG Trader to join our Global Physical Team in London. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for trading LNG from Chevron's Upstream assets as well as trading 3rd Party Volumes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of LNG properties, trade flows, fundamental market analysis, pricing, transportation, risk management, and supply chain economics to identify arbitrage opportunities and strategies.
- Collaborate with the global GSAT teams (traders & analysts) to develop the global LNG team's fundamental supply and demand viewpoint and drive physical and financial trading strategies in the Trading time horizon, focusing on earnings generation and risk control.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships in line with Atlantic Basin LNG expansion, working closely with other business units, traders, analysts, and schedulers within a global diverse team and with external trading partners.
- Work alongside the LNG Financial Traders and act as a Subject Matter Expert for LNG across the wider Chevron enterprise.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate structured trading opportunities with Origination.
- Adhere to Chevron policy and controls in all desk activities.
- Minimum 2 years of trading experience in the LNG market, specifically in the Atlantic Basin.
- Experience in LNG contract negotiations.
- An academic degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Marketing.
- Proven ability to apply and leverage digital tools and technology (strong Excel/VBA/PowerPoint) to provide solutions and quantify risks to support trading strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and represent the strategy and team both internally and externally in a concise and articulate manner, both orally and in writing.
Relocation will not be considered.
