Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join our team in Surrey and the surrounding area. As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of fire and security systems at commercial sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair fire, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and DDA systems in accordance with current standards and codes of practice.
  • Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating potential risks to project delivery dates.
  • Experience with network/IP-based products is beneficial.
  • FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential; a full understanding of BS5839 is essential.
  • Ensure timesheets and relevant paperwork are completed on time.
  • Undertake relevant training as required.
  • Comply with all relevant H&S requirements.

Requirements:

  • A proven background and experience of intruder, CCTV, fire alarms, access control, door entry, and DDA systems.
  • Network/IP-based product experience is beneficial.
  • FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential; a full understanding of BS5839 is essential.
  • Knowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines is a real advantage.
  • Good communication skills are required for customer-facing work.
  • The ability to work alone and effectively organize your time.
  • A good understanding of industry standards and systems is required.
  • A good understanding of health and safety is essential.
  • A full driving license and willingness to travel to locations across the country.
  • Be prepared to work away with overnight stays when required, kept to a minimum.
