About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Support Assistant to join our team at a school for children with special educational needs. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with additional needs, enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them to develop their cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
