The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in groundworks project management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing site staff and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Coordinating workers on-site and working closely with other construction professionals
  • Ensuring site rules and welfare facilities are in place
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and quality control processes
  • Completing site administration tasks, including project review reporting and staff timesheets
  • Working closely with quantity surveyors, buyers, and estimators to ensure project delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters
  • Coordinating deliveries of materials, plant, and equipment
  • Attending site-management meetings and ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements
  • Organizing and overseeing external inspections, such as health and safety inspections
  • Understanding of construction drawings and contractual documents
  • Understanding of legal responsibilities on construction sites

Requirements:

  • SMSTS certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy
  • Experience using Microsoft Project programming (preferred but not essential)
