About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, managing teams, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate site activities, including labor, plant, and equipment, to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Monitor and control site costs, ensuring they are within budget and reporting any variances to management.
  • Collaborate with the Buying team and Surveying department to ensure timely procurement of materials and sub-contract services.
  • Train and develop junior members of the team to meet current and future requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Site Manager with a strong background in construction management, health and safety, and design and procurement processes. You will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Significant experience of working on design and build projects for a main contractor.
  • Experience of managing all aspects of the build process, from design and procurement to installation and handover.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
  • CSCS Card at Site Manager level.
  • Valid SMSTS certificate.
