We are in search of a skilled Assistant Bar Manager to enhance our operations at Soho Farmhouse. The Assistant Bar Manager will oversee the beverage services within the establishment, ensuring operational success while supporting the management team as required. Key responsibilities encompass inventory management, team leadership, including recruitment and development, and maintaining an efficient bar operation to provide an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Qualifications for the Assistant Bar Manager...
  • 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume cocktail bar in a senior management role
  • Innovative leader with a background in managing food and beverage operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate relationships
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Organized and dependable
  • Able to work collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Proficient in computer systems such as Opera, Micros, and Adaco is a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of local authority regulations

  • Knowledge and experience with SIA regulations
Key Responsibilities...
  • Oversee staff management, including recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll, and handling staff grievances and disciplinary actions.
  • Evaluate staff performance, conduct appraisals, and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Order inventory based on operational needs and budget considerations.
  • Ensure that menus are current and accurate.
  • Report any shortages in bar stock, including glassware and equipment.
  • Accountable for Mystery Shopper Reports and staff development initiatives.
  • Actively participate in management decision-making processes and attend necessary meetings.
  • Maximize revenue from all sales opportunities.
  • Support the House Tonic program and facilitate related training sessions.
Expected Working Hours for the Assistant Bar Manager:
  • Flexible shifts across all seven days, including evenings, weekends, and opening and closing shifts.
  • Average weekly hours range from 32 to 45.
