About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with transferable skills, such as care assistants, support workers, residential care, sports coaches, or psychology graduates, to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with special educational needs in a Primary or Secondary school setting
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and contribute to the development of educational resources
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress
Requirements:
  • A positive attitude and a calm, patient nature
  • Good work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Kind and caring towards children of all needs and abilities
  • Ability to hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
