About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team at Gloucester Quays. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting customers, employees, and property, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preventing and deterring unauthorized access to the site
  • Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as required
  • Conducting external and internal security patrols
  • Providing traffic control and applying parking restrictions
  • Carrying out routine tests of security equipment
  • Managing keys and performing locking and unlocking duties
  • Ensuring equipment is managed in accordance with procedures
  • Maintaining logbooks and records
  • Issuing visitor/contractor passes
  • Dealing with lost property
  • Providing support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
  • Reporting faults, hazards, and unsafe practices
  • Notifying the Securitas Operations Centre in emergencies
  • Investigating fire alarm activations
  • Reporting instances of property at risk
  • Operating radios, pagers, and other physical security equipment
  • Operating customer 'stop and search' policies
  • Carrying out initial investigations and reporting incidents
  • Displaying an outstanding level of customer service
  • Completing paperwork and conducting effective handover procedures
Essential Skills
  • SIA License
  • 5 Year checkable work history and supporting Right to work documents
  • Reasonable commuting distance
  • A firm grasp of English, both Written and Spoken
  • Outstanding Customer Service
