About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Practitioner to join our team in Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Active involvement in the delivery of mental health services as an effective member of the team.
  • Implementing assessment, review, and care packages to individuals and groups within standard protocols.
  • Providing evidence-based advice and consultancy to young people and their families.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience working in mental health care settings.
  • Experience working with young people with challenging behavior and complex health needs.
  • Ability to work in a way that promotes antidiscriminatory practice.
  • Experience of collaborative working in community settings.
  • Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring their safety.
Requirements
  • Must hold or obtain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Level 3 QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C or above) or Level 2 Key Skills/Functional Skills in Maths and English.
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
