Job Title: QA & Technical Manager

My client is seeking an experienced Technical / Quality Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electricals, SDA's, MDA's or similar.

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all products we bring to market are safe, fit for purpose and meet both internal and external customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on product quality improvements and cost-saving suggestions, and implement these with OEM manufacturers.
  • Implement the product development launch pipeline, following technical processes for right-first-time and on-time product delivery/launch.
  • Meet all legal compliance standards and customer expectations for product quality.
  • Monitor and advise on product performance in the market by reviewing product returns and customer feedback.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance against defined criteria, and manage systems including SharePoint and SCAR database.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate clearly with field-based teams and direct them in delivering against technical and quality requirements.
  • Experience working with 3rd party testing and inspection agencies.
  • Able to appraise, test, and report on product build quality, performance, and safety.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards applicable to products, including LVD, EMC, ErP, RoHS, Reach, and CE marking.
  • Ability to interpret safety standards requirements and ensure product compliance.

The successful candidate will be an experienced QA / Technical Manager from either a retailer or supplier background. Knowledge of electricals, SDA's, MDA's or similar is essential.
