Financial Controller Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Recruitment Robin Ltd, a leading education recruitment services provider in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our company, contributing to its growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial reporting on profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget vs actual analyses.
  • Budgeting and forecasting, including annual budgets, monitoring, and analyzing variances.
  • Financial compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, as well as preparing and filing tax returns and minimizing liabilities.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable, implementing strategies to optimize cash flow.
  • Assessing and enhancing financial controls to safeguard company assets by developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinating and managing annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors.
  • Leading and mentoring the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • ACCA or CIMA certification, a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in recruitment or education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools such as Xero, Excel, and financial modeling software.
