Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Plant Financial Controller to join our team at Cast UK Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Produce timely and accurate management information to satisfy group and local deadlines, including weekly production cost analysis, stock variance analysis, and PPV analysis.
  • Reporting: Create new and revised reports to challenge operational activities and drive cost savings, and ensure master data integrity and vigilance.
  • Business Partnering: Partner with operations, R&D, commercial, and HR teams to present clear financial information and support decision-making at all levels.
  • Cost Accounting: Monitor fixed cost evolution, check material-dependent data, and support material key users to accurately record them.
  • Month End Reporting: Revalue standards, deliver month-end P&L and balance sheet with analysis and commentary, and support P&L entries and analysis.
  • FP&A: Support the plant budget and forecasting process, provide timely and accurate analysis, and monitor Capex projects status and spend.
  • Process Improvement: Provide input and support in the development of new business systems, identify and drive process efficiencies, and support the improvement of internal controls and processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations, and prepare and submit key balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Communication & Organisation: Communicate proactively to finance and operations leadership on plant costs matters, raise and address plant issues, and drive progress and coherence in collaborations between different functions and teams.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
