Role Overview

Position: Care Assistant - Must possess a full UK driving license

Important Note: Candidates requiring a Visa to work in the UK will not be supported for sponsorship by SeeAbility.

  • Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
  • Compensation: £12 per hour plus additional benefits including paid induction and overtime for hours exceeding 37.5 per week
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours weekly, on a shift rota from Monday to Sunday
  • Shift Patterns: Morning and evening shifts including 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Requirements: Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving license. Experience in supporting individuals with complex physical health needs is essential. Candidates should also have experience in using hoisting equipment and assisting with wheelchair mobility. Local residency and the right to work full-time in the UK are required.

We seek compassionate and resilient Care Assistants who can consistently support individuals with highly complex physical health needs while engaging them in their interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, light cleaning, and medication administration (after appropriate training).
  • Support individuals in offsite activities such as gym visits, bowling, and attending appointments.
  • Accompany individuals on short breaks and holidays, helping them to enjoy fulfilling experiences.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of those in your care.
  • Assist individuals in planning and achieving their personal goals.
  • Ensure respect, dignity, and equality for the individuals and their families.
  • Adhere to SeeAbility's core values in all aspects of your work.

We are looking for dedicated individuals willing to commit to 37.5 hours per week, working a flexible shift pattern that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.

You will collaborate closely with the registered manager, deputy manager, and senior staff to deliver exceptional person-centered care, ensuring that our vision of inclusive communities is realized for individuals with various disabilities.

Who You Will Support:

At Waterside House, we provide support to 14 individuals with diverse disabilities, including visual impairment, autism, and physical disabilities. Each individual has unique interests and hobbies that enrich their lives.
