Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality generator servicing, maintenance, and repair services to customers across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of generator brands, including Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Dorman.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of generators, including oil and filter changes, oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.
  • Perform load bank testing on customer-owned generator units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with generators and associated systems.
  • Work on a range of generator brands, from 2kVA to 2.5mVA, and complete all types of engine repairs.
  • Assist with mechanical engine rebuilds, top-end overhauls, and control panel upgrades.
  • Interrogate control systems, including DSE, ComAp, and DEIF, and understand changeover systems.
  • Collaborate with the service team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in generator services or a related field.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Brand-specific generator training courses.
  • Controls systems training courses.
  • Electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds 17th/18th edition.
