Pastoral Support Officer

Prospero Teaching is seeking a skilled Pastoral Support Officer to join our team in a supportive alternative provision in Manchester. As a key member of the Pastoral Support Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Respond to queries from a wide range of stakeholders in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Provide information and support to students and their families, enabling them to access our services effectively.
  • Offer accurate and timely guidance to students, families, and partners to ensure appropriate levels of achievement and progression.
  • Signpost service users to relevant services or pass on information to colleagues as necessary.
  • Attend and convene Placement Planning and Review meetings, as required.
  • Liaise with partners and providers to develop personalized education programs for individuals with complex needs.
  • Support student transitions between provisions, schools, and Key Stages.
  • Report to the PRU Pastoral Manager, Head of PRU, and Ofsted, as required.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
  • Have a full, clean UK driving license and access to your own car.
