This is a remarkable opportunity for a strategic and commercially astute professional in motor insurance claims procurement to join the UKGI Claims Supply Chain team, overseeing the Motor Claims category.
About the Role:
The primary objective of this position is to enhance value through comprehensive commercial management of Aviva's motor claims supply chain.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and operational teams to innovate service solutions for the future, while simultaneously creating increased value for Aviva and our clients.
Focusing on the motor insurance claims sector, you will employ relevant commercial, contractual, supplier relationship management, regulatory, risk management, and category management skills to:
- Drive value for money by identifying and implementing new initiatives.
- Exhibit category expertise and stay ahead of emerging technologies and market developments.
- Mitigate and manage risks effectively.
- Support the achievement of our Net Zero goals.
You will need to merge market knowledge with a thorough understanding of business requirements to strategize and execute sourcing and supply chain plans, working in tandem with colleagues to establish suitable contractual arrangements.
You will leverage appropriate internal processes, systems, controls, and governance frameworks.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A background in procurement with a solid understanding of General Insurance Motor Claims Procurement/Supply Chain or Financial Services is essential; experience in Motor Accidental Damage is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial and stakeholder management abilities with a proven history of fostering robust internal business and supplier relationships.
- Expertise in change management and leadership skills, with a successful track record in optimizing strategy and delivering Commercial, Supplier Relationship Management, or Category Management in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in contracting, adept at managing sourcing processes and negotiating agreements in line with relevant governance, influencing decisions as necessary.
- MCIPS qualification or a degree in business/finance or equivalent is preferable.
