Senior Lawyer - Commercial and Contracts

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the in-house legal team at West Midlands Police. The Commercial and Contracts Team is seeking a Senior Lawyer to provide leadership and direction to the team, supporting the strategic objectives of Joint Legal Services.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will act on behalf of the Chief Constables of West Midlands and Staffordshire Police, providing legal advice and representation in relation to commercial and contracts matters. You will also support the Principal Lawyer in providing leadership and direction to the team, including performance management and risk identification.

The successful candidate will have a complex case load, providing advice and advocacy as required. You will also be responsible for drafting legal documents and working with external legal services, including Counsel, as necessary.

Vetting: Successful applicants will be required to pass Management Vetting and Security Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role.
