Job Title: Fixed Wing Flight Test Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Fixed Wing Flight Test Engineer to join our team at QinetiQ. As a Fixed Wing Flight Test Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction on a wide range of topics to aspiring flight test professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ground and in-flight instruction to Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer students
  • Assess and grade ETPS student flying and technical reports
  • Mentor and provide constructive debriefing/feedback to students
  • Contribute to the development of long and short course ground instruction
  • Participate in course activities and travel as required

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Science degree
  • At least 3 years actively working as a LFTE or equivalent on a range of significant modern fixed wing flight test programmes
  • Broad and extensive experience within the flight test community
  • Ability to teach on the ground and instruct in the air
  • Sound knowledge of aircraft performance, systems, stability & control and their testing
