Finance Assistant Opportunity

Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team in Co Antrim. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the sales ledger function and banking function within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all banking transactions are entered onto the finance system daily
  • Make daily transfers to ensure sufficient funds are left in the current bank account for daily transactions and that surplus funds are transferred into high interest accounts
  • Prepare weekly bank reconciliations
  • Work with Purchase Ledger to produce the monthly BACs run and any ad hoc payments as required throughout the month
  • Consider cash requirements on a regular basis with the Company Accountant
  • Make lodgements and account for cash from car park operations
  • Control and replenish petty cash
  • Act as point of contact with Payment Service Provider/Merchant Bank on credit card payments
  • Assist with the sales ledger function and provide cover for billing when required
  • Prepare necessary journals required for month end accounts
  • Assist the Management Accountants in the entering and checking of all month end journals
Requirements:
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Sales ledger experience with specific experience in reconciling accounts
  • Experience working with an ERP platform, ideally MS Dynamics 365
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines
