About the RoleThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop and deliver high-quality care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. This will involve providing expert clinical advice, teaching, education, research, and audit to ensure the delivery of excellent standards of care.
The post holder will be responsible for identifying and planning staff development and education strategies to enable the delivery of identified standards of care. This will include patient assessment and consultation, teaching, education, research, and audit, as well as leadership and raising professional standards in patient care.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a degree in nursing or a related discipline, current NMC registration, and a minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience. They will also have experience as a junior sister or Nurse Specialist at Band 6 or above, as well as specialist Palliative Care experience in a relevant field.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in stressful situations. They will also have good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to negotiate and teach effectively.
