Job Title: Finance Assistant

This is more than just a typical finance role—no two days are the same. You'll have the chance to broaden your skill set by getting involved in various areas of finance while working within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Posting daily cash receipts and managing banking transactions
  • Accounts receivable reconciliation and liaising with the bank
  • Credit control duties and preparing recharge invoices
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Handling accruals, prepayments, and posting journals to the general ledger
  • Covering payroll processing in the absence of the primary payroll officer
  • Engaging with both customers and suppliers to resolve finance-related queries
  • Supporting budget preparation and monitoring internal controls
Requirements:
  • AAT Level 3 qualified
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Previous experience in an accounts department, preferably in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with financial systems; experience with Epicor is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • SAGE payroll experience is desirable but not essential
