We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care team at The Portland Hospital, a world-renowned centre for the healthcare needs of women and children.
About the RoleAs a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused care to children on our general medical ward. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate holistic care plans, driving the continual improvement of patient outcomes through research, evidence-based practice, and the development of additional clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional care to children on our general medical ward, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement holistic care plans.
- Drive the continual improvement of patient outcomes through research, evidence-based practice, and the development of additional clinical skills.
- Work closely with our team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse with basic paediatric life support
- Experience working with tracheostomised patients is desirable
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues and clinical governance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
