About the Role

AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Site Services Engineer to join our team in the Northeast of England. As a key member of our Site Services Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of a large-scale mass manufacturing plant for a world-leading battery manufacturing organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary Building Services Management: Responsible for the upkeep and management of primary building services, including compressed air, chilled water and DI water plant, gas-fired steam boiler and LTHW plant, clean/dry room dehumidification and general HVAC plant, LEV and VOC extract systems, fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Utility Management: Management of incoming utilities, including water, natural gas and site drainage.
  • Site Services Maintenance: Day-to-day upkeep and management of site services, including development and implementation of full lifecycle preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
  • Safe Working Procedures: Responsibility for development and implementation of safe working procedures in accordance with recognised industry standards and approved codes of practice, including FMEA and Risk assessment.
  • Contractor Management: Co-ordination, control and safe management of external contractors.
  • Breakdown Management: Management of major breakdown incidents, restoration and corrective maintenance.
  • Budget Management: Preparation and control of annual Capex and Opex budgets.
Additional Responsibilities
  • New Plant Development: Involvement in new plant development activity, including preparation of mechanical services design specifications, implementation and ongoing management of Building and Energy Management Systems, project management and co-ordination, including project budget preparation and cashflow management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Site / Building Services.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in a relevant site services or mechanical engineering role, including electrical engineering experience, knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements, and strong PC skills.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to lead from the front and work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements
  • ATEX, HAZOP, COMAH, LOLER, EPR, Legionella Management: Knowledge and experience of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Fire Protection and Suppression Systems: Experience of fire protection and suppression systems.
  • Clean / Dry Room Production Environment: Experience of working in a clean / dry room production environment.
  • UK Driving Licence: Holder of a UK driving licence.
