Site Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our Earthworks Division at The Mick George Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall operations of construction works, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate resources, manage personnel, and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise works teams, providing guidance and support to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare daily allocation sheets, report progress summaries, and other documentation to track on-site activities and communicate key information effectively.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or relevant vocational qualifications in construction or related field.
  • Proven experience as a site supervisor or similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in the UK.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • SSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety certification.
