Job Title: Groundwork Senior Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Groundwork Senior Site Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from groundworks to handovers, ensuring that our residential development projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Supervise and train a team of site staff, including ASM's and trainees, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings to ensure that all parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the development is completed in accordance with the specification and build programme, and that all necessary RAMS are in place.
  • Monitor and control the quality of production, ensuring that all work meets the required standards.
  • Take responsibility for snagging sub-contractor work and ensuring that all defects are rectified.
  • Manage calls off and materials, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available when required.
  • Provide accurate and regular reports on progress and dates, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • NHBC stage inspections and ensuring that all necessary certifications are obtained.
  • Control additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure, and ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Drive through quality at every stage of the construction process, ensuring that all work meets the required standards.
  • Ensure that the development passes internal and external inspection processes, and that all necessary certifications are obtained.
  • Take responsibility for self-development and the development of others, ensuring that all staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on traditional build schemes, with a strong understanding of the construction process and the ability to manage a fast-paced busy site.
  • Able to train and manage a team of site staff, including ASM's and trainees.
  • New build, residential experience, with a strong understanding of the construction process and the ability to manage a fast-paced busy site.
  • CSCS, Black, and First Aid, Scaffold awareness.
