Job Overview

We are currently seeking two dedicated Staff Nurses to join our esteemed North East Community Team.

In this role, you will be entrusted with delivering exceptional palliative care within the community, assisting patients facing complex symptom management challenges. Your support will extend to providing emotional and psychological assistance to both patients and their families. You will engage in hands-on nursing care while collaborating with a small team of highly skilled professionals.

Professional Development Opportunities:

  • Rotation through various clinical services (Inpatient unit) to enhance your professional growth and revalidation.
  • Completion of Dying to Communicate & Advance Care Planning Courses within the first year.
  • Access to advanced training in specialized skills and academic development.
  • Opportunities for preceptorship and mentoring, along with clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

We invite applications from candidates who possess:

  • Current First Level registration with the NMC.
  • A compassionate approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients and their families.
  • The ability to adapt to varying demands based on patient needs or directives from management.
  • Access to independent transportation for home visits as required by the role, along with a willingness to work in different areas of the Trust when necessary.
  • Valid registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Residency in the UK.

Role 1 Hours: per week

Role 2 Hours: 30 per week

Starting Salary: £29,284 per annum, pro rata, with an additional 30% enhancement for weekend unsocial hours.
