About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Psychologist to join our dynamic team at Connect Health Group Limited. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment for adults with chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based psychological approaches, including CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans for individuals with chronic pain, taking into account complex medical and pharmaceutical issues.
  • Engage with patients who present with complex psychological needs, using excellent communication and relationship skills to provide sensitive and potentially contentious information.
  • Develop and promote a positive and dynamic image and culture, fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders, including NHS Talking Therapies service providers, patients, and the public.

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical or Health Psychologist.
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary chronic pain service.
  • Good knowledge of the current evidence base in relation to psychological approaches to pain management.
