About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Therapy Assistant to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Therapy team, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients on our Medical wards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients on the Medical wards
  • Work collaboratively with the Therapy team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct initial assessments of patient needs and progress treatment plans to facilitate safe discharge from hospital
  • Provide high-quality care through effective team work and follow through treatment plans from admission to discharge
  • Assist and support therapists in the Medical team and work closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)

Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a Therapy Assistant role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and patients
