We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Senior Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our medical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial support to a specific Consultant and their team, working independently and using your own initiative.
- Liaise with other medical secretaries and colleagues to ensure a smooth transfer of information within the service.
- Ensure confidentiality, efficiency, and politeness when dealing with the public.
- Prioritize your workload and manage competing demands.
- Assist in the coordination of care pathways, using your knowledge of medical terminology and audio typing skills.

Requirements
- GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy.
- NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent experience.
- Proficient and accurate audio typing skills (minimum 60 wpm).
- IT experience of Microsoft Office packages.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of word-auto text and auto-correct.
- Medical terminology.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act.
- Knowledge of Patient Centre system.
