Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of dealing with complex family law matters, including privately funded divorce, financial, and children cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, attending court, mediations, and meetings, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Effective management of all family law files, ensuring timely progression and regular communication with clients.
  • Client Service: Providing exceptional client service, including regular updates on case progress, costs, and realistic outcomes.
  • Court and Mediation: Attending court, mediations, and meetings, and preparing detailed notes and minutes as required.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information, in line with Law Society and GDPR regulations.
  • Business Development: Contributing to business development initiatives, including identifying and developing new sources of work, and attending networking events.
  • Team Collaboration: Providing support to other team members as required, and contributing to operational review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in family law, with a proven track record of dealing with complex family law matters.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent IT skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware and able to contribute to business development initiatives.

Desirable

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrable leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
  • Case Management System: Experience of using a case management system, such as SOS.
