In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative to enhance work-life balance, the standard full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours effective April 2024, maintaining the same remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Please note that some service areas may require a temporary extension of working hours up to an additional 30 minutes per week until new rosters are established.
The role entails a shift pattern of 6 hours per day, with work scheduled on a rotational basis. (Note: Salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time hours.)
The Cook Freeze Production Unit (CFPU) at Alexandra Royal Hospital is seeking a dedicated individual to become part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portioning and packaging food items in a fast-paced production kitchen.
- Working in chilled and freezing environments, with temperatures reaching as low as -22°C.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in a catering environment.
- Elementary food hygiene certification.
Comprehensive training will be provided upon commencement of duties.
