Electrical Maintenance and Installation Opportunity

The Directorate of Estates & Facilities at the University of Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance and Installation Specialist to join their team. As an Electrical Maintenance and Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of maintenance to electrical services, lighting and power systems, electrical and electro/mechanical installations, and specialist equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and installation, with particular experience in maintenance and installation work. You should also be able to diagnose and repair faults, and be fully conversant with the 18th Edition of the IEE wiring regulations (including current amendments).

This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the maintenance and installation of electrical systems across the University of Aberdeen campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of maintenance to electrical services, lighting and power systems
  • Electrical and electro/mechanical installations and specialist equipment
  • Diagnose and repair faults
  • Be fully conversant with the 18th Edition of the IEE wiring regulations (including current amendments)

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical maintenance and installation
  • Strong background in electrical systems and wiring regulations
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
