Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Planning Officer to join our dynamic team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Planning Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Trust's Business Continuity, Emergency Preparedness, Resilience, and Response (EPRR) activities are effectively planned, prepared, and executed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of EPRR in carrying out the Trust's EPRR activities, providing specialist advice, training, and exercising.
  • Review and update Business Continuity and EPRR plans, procedures, and On-Call documents, taking the lead on monthly checks of related resources and documents.
  • Deputise for the Head of EPRR in their absence, providing advice, guidance, information, and support to the Trust at all levels, and attending EPRR-related meetings and events.

Requirements
  • A good level of understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, including the requirements for Category 1 & 2 responders.
  • Sound understanding of the NHS England Core Standards for EPRR.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and gain knowledge within the field of EPRR and Business Continuity.
