Job Title: Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Manager to join our team at the Northwest Area Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our cadets and adult volunteers.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in youth development and training delivery, with experience in managing teams and working with volunteers. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and quality assurance of training across the Northwest Area, as well as delivering area activity, camps, events, and competitions.

You will also be responsible for line managing some senior volunteer roles and using the Sea Cadet Syllabus as the vehicle to inspire the highest quality youth development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training programs to cadets and adult volunteers
  • Ensure the safe delivery and quality assurance of training across the Northwest Area
  • Deliver area activity, camps, events, and competitions
  • Line manage some senior volunteer roles
  • Use the Sea Cadet Syllabus to inspire the highest quality youth development
Requirements:
  • Strong background in youth development and training delivery
  • Experience in managing teams and working with volunteers
  • Ability to ensure the safe delivery and quality assurance of training
  • Ability to deliver area activity, camps, events, and competitions
  • Ability to line manage some senior volunteer roles

MSSC is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development. We are the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps, a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 15,000 young people over 400 Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK.
