Swan Family Centres Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Coventry. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the outcomes for children, young people, and families by delivering a crucial service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and escort children and young people to and from contact sessions.
- Undertake and observe supervised contact for children and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Risk manage and intervene as necessary to safeguard children, prioritizing their well-being and safety.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports of contact sessions, detailing observations and any concerns.
- Attend and participate in planning meetings or reviews, as required, to ensure effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
- Identify and respond to levels of risk, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential harm.
- Attend supervision and training courses to enhance skills and knowledge in relation to the role.
Requirements:
- A minimum level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
- A current DBS for working with adults and children.
- A driving licence and access to a car (desirable but not essential).
Working Hours:
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Variable shift patterns, including day shifts, night shifts, and overtime.
