Job Title: Network Deployment Manager

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Network Deployment Manager to join our team. As a Network Deployment Manager, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of passive and active network solutions. This role will involve installing and delivering network equipment and related infrastructures, as well as driving low voltage structured cabling across the Amazon data centre platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and developing teams of technicians and engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
  • Delivering capacity to existing Data Centres.
  • Helping build and bring online new Data Centres.
  • Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.
  • Liaising with internal teams & management groups.
  • Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centres.
  • Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes.
  • Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
Requirements:
  • An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building & managing technical teams.
  • Incident and Vendor management experience with Security and Health & Safety awareness.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Network build planning and budgetary experience.
  • Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
  • Familiarity with Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
