Office Angels is representing a prominent firm within the construction sector, known for its expertise in building materials and contracting services. We are currently seeking a proficient Compensation Specialist to join their team on a fixed-term basis.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity to make a significant impact within a vibrant and expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage all payroll functions, including the processing of monthly, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500 PAYE employees and 200 subcontractors.

Collaborate closely with the Human Resources department, assisting with documentation, recruitment, and various administrative tasks.
Provide mentorship and support to an apprentice within the payroll division.
Ensure the prompt and precise processing of timesheets, actively pursuing any missing information from staff and management.
Utilize payroll software, including SAGE and Excel, to handle and process subcontractor payments.

Stay informed on legislative changes and industry developments to offer accurate guidance and information to the payroll team and apprentice.

Effectively prioritize tasks and adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
A level 3 qualification in payroll or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in payroll management, ideally within the construction or a comparable sector.
Proficiency in payroll systems, particularly SAGE, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Knowledge of payroll-related legislation and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
A supportive and mentoring approach, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
The adaptability to thrive in a changing business landscape.
