About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Housekeeping to join our team at a Barchester care home. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas of the care home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas of the care home are cleaned regularly.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of cleaning services provided to residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure that the care home meets all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of leading a team of housekeeping staff in a care home or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
