Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Support and Inclusion for Wales, the Area Operations Manager will oversee a team of Supported Living Managers, each responsible for managing support teams across multiple locations. You will collaborate with two other Area Operations Managers in Wales and will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by CIW, Local Authority Commissioners, and CHC (Continuing Health Care) Commissioners. This role is designed with growth in mind, and there is an expectation for the Area Operations Manager to lead the identification of business development opportunities within the regions once established in the position.
In this capacity, you will work closely with Supported Living Managers to ensure the active participation of the individuals we support. This includes assisting the Supported Living Manager in the recruitment of new staff and providing performance feedback during the probationary period. Additionally, you will engage in policy reviews and conduct quality assurance visits alongside the Supported Living Managers, leveraging your expertise and experience.
The Area Operations Managers collaborate with the senior management team and meet regularly with the Head of Service and Inclusion to strategize the necessary actions to achieve and uphold the standards outlined in the organizational strategic plan, as reflected in the departmental work plan. The Perthyn Leadership Team structure is inclusive and encourages inter-departmental collaboration, fostering a culture of teamwork to achieve common objectives.
Candidate Profile
We seek a highly motivated and experienced leader capable of effectively managing teams, monitoring progress, and identifying trends. The ideal candidate should be proficient in utilizing IT/database systems to gather, analyze, and report information.
