Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a Fleet Underwriter, you will be responsible for servicing brokers, underwriting new business, renewals, and MTAs.

About the Role:

  • To be a Fleet Underwriter and/or Multiclass Underwriter who operates within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the book of business.
  • To be a great communicator who regularly has meaningful face-to-face meetings with brokers and/or customers to build their confidence in us and to make Aviva their insurer of choice.
  • To deal end-to-end with brokers/customers book of business.
  • To embrace and understand our SME strategy.
  • To be curious to grow understanding of the commercial business.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous fleet underwriting experience is essential (property & liability underwriting experience is desirable but not essential).
  • The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
  • Work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
  • Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases.
