KBM Resourcing is seeking a skilled Project Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role is to oversee the comprehensive project life cycle, from initial inquiry to successful installation and commissioning.

As a Project Engineering Specialist, you will manage project budgets and lead offshore or site project teams to ensure the successful execution of projects that meet client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Identify:

  • Collaborate internally to support the technical and commercial preparation of tenders and proposals.
  • Participate in initial sales meetings with prospective clients to provide technical insights.
  • Generate site survey approvals for expenditures and proposals.

Qualify:

  • Organize and attend visits to rigs, sites, and installations both offshore and internationally for survey purposes.
  • Communicate with rig and installation personnel regarding the utilities necessary for onboard equipment.
  • Assess and measure existing rig equipment as needed.
  • Create sketches and compile information as required.

Prepare:

  • Develop a comprehensive project costing sheet.
  • Formulate project mobilization and installation plans in collaboration with the Global Projects & Asset Manager.
  • Conduct kickoff and regular project update meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare Installation Workpacks and brief installation teams prior to mobilization.

Mobilize:

  • Uphold and promote adherence to HSEQ guiding principles.
  • Coordinate and oversee the installation phase of projects, ensuring successful execution within project parameters and to client satisfaction.
  • Supervise offshore and on-site installations, holding overall responsibility for the installation phase and handover to operations.

Close / Demobilize:

  • Complete post-job briefs, document lessons learned, and facilitate handover to the local operations team.
  • Ensure that NAVISON is updated and all aspects are finalized.
  • Develop a demobilization plan and Workpack for the operations team to implement.
  • Review and close AFEs.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HNC/HND Level or equivalent in a Technical or HSEQ discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Relevant background and experience in a project engineering or management role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to interpret and understand applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment certification requirements for the oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of temporary mobile equipment.
  • Willingness to travel offshore or overseas as required.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of DNV 2.7-1 standards.
  • Knowledge of ATEX and CE requirements.
